Purchase of a new DSC for the chemical testing laboratory

We are now analysing the thermal properties of polymers and resorbable materials with even greater sensitivity, resolution and automation: our new DSC 5+ from METTLER TOLEDO has arrived and is now in use.

With the innovative MultiSTAR™ sensor (136 thermocouples) and FlexMode™ technology, we can carry out measurements in both power compensation and heat flow modes – ideal for precisely detecting even the smallest effects such as glass transitions and crystallisation.

Particularly exciting for our application:

• maximum sensitivity for weak thermal effects
• Automated sample robot with 96 positions – for throughput and reproducibility round the clock
• Gas-flushed sample chamber to protect sensitive samples from environmental influences
• This enables us to strengthen our quality assurance, accelerate material development and gain even deeper insights.
